Lawn Kit Information
You can have an environmentally friendly yard as easy as 1-2-3. Since the
Canadian Supreme Court "Hudson" ruling, municipalities
now have been given the right to ban any federally approved chemical whether it be a fertilizer,
herbicide, pesticide or fungicide.
From Halifax to Vancouver, municipalities have been assessing public opinion as to when, not whether,
they would implement bylaws restricting the different chemical applications.
With UltraGrowth Lawn Kit, a 100% UltraGrowth Certified True Dwarf Kentucky Bluegrass Seed
ecologically friendly organic package is now available to homeowners. This package contains 3 parts
which will over-seed 232.5 sq. m. or 2,500 sq. ft. New lawns require three (3) Lawn Kits to cover
the same area.
- Plant Food (Liquid)
- Soil Conditioner (Solid)
- Certified True Dwarf Kentucky Bluegrass Seed
UltraGrowth Plant Food (Liquid) helps to feed the grass and stimulates the development of beneficial
microbes in the soil. Microbes are composed of single cell organisms like bacteria, fungus etc..
They work in the soil to break down organic matter such as thatch and leaves. They also work on the
clay particles bringing unavailable nutrients into an available form.
UltraGrowth Soil Conditioner (Solid) is a special blend of microbes and
humus that not only work on
decomposing the organic matter but also help fixate nitrogen out of the air. 95% of a plants weight
comes from the air, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen, the other 5% comes from the soil and is
cycled through the decomposition process.
UltraGrowth Certified True Dwarf Kentucky Bluegrass Seed is a specially designed mix. This seed
has been stimulated so that it will produce root systems up to 5 times more extensive, providing a
drought and frost hardened lawn (save watering costs). The germination time of the seed has also
been shortened, allowing for faster root growth.
Grass also has a life span the same as you and I. Therefore, it is not only important to provide a
healthy growing environment but also to replenish the old and dying grass with new seed. (The current
practice of cutting the turf does not allow the grass to produce seed heads that would normally
germinate in subsequent years.)
